From Player to Creator

People enter their journey at different levels, and that's ok! The goal is to meet each student where they are and help them grow through a logical succession of advancements, from absolute beginner through to self-sufficient creative. The guide below will help you determine which class would be best*, with more detailed information behind each link.

Types Of Classes

Full of wide-eyed potential, Explorers are new to this world. This is the time to sharpen their fundamental skills and prepare them for future (game) quests!

Recommended Ages:

6-8

Recommended Prerequisite Skills:

None. Great for complete beginners!

It is dangerous to go alone. Together, Adventurers embark on their first official quests, training to gain strength and wisdom needed to go from gamer to game creator!

​

Recommended Ages:

8-13

Recommended Prerequisite Skills:

Basic computer skills, basic math and English skills.

Trained and prepared for honor and glory, Knights are proven to possess both the basic skills and the vision, and are tasked with bringing an entire world to life, concept to completion.

Recommended Ages: 

13 and up

Recommended Prerequisite Skills:

Some previous experience with game development or demonstrated mastery in Adventurer level class. 

Not all classes can be so easily categorized. Check out a listing of other types of classes including camps, adult only classes, online classes, day workshops, and anything else that doesn't quite fit into the normal offerings.​
